Founder & President at Blue Chip
committed to clinical excellence
Ron Resnick founded Blue Chip Medical Products, Inc. in 1996 with a simple yet powerful mission: build products that truly work for the patients who rely on them. The company name, “Blue Chip” reflects the very best.
For more than three decades, Ron has led Blue Chip as a proud U.S. manufacturer of powered and non-powered therapeutic mattresses, wheelchair & positioning cushions, hospital & patient room products and accessories. Blue Chip is one of the few companies capable of offering customized support surfaces. Every product carries his personal commitment to clinical excellence, shorter lead times, superior quality control, and genuine value for healthcare providers across acute care, long-term care, rehab, hospice, and home settings.
Ron remains deeply hands-on. When not developing new products, he personally answers calls from clinicians, assists with product selection, conducts in-services, education, and ensures that patient-centered care especially for veterans always comes before profit.

Driven by a desire to better serve patients with complex neurological and rehabilitation needs, he attended medical classes at Columbia University, focusing on cerebral palsy, neurological disorders, and pediatric rehabilitation. This foundational knowledge shaped his lifelong approach to creating practical, clinically effective solutions.
Experience Prior to Blue Chip
healthcare and rehabilitation
Ron’s career in healthcare and rehabilitation spans more than 48 years. He began at Kagle Surgical, gaining hands-on experience with electro-therapy, TENS units, and rehabilitation equipment.
He later played a key role at Endicott Rental & Sales, helping build one of the largest single-location rehab providers in the country. There, Ron and his team developed custom power recliners, sip-and-puff chairs, and specialized inserts tailored to individual patient needs.
Subsequent leadership positions included manufacturing roles and serving as Vice President at Graham Field, where he deepened his expertise in product development, sales, and operations within the durable medical equipment and wound care sectors. These experiences reinforced his belief that superior clinical performance and genuine patient focus must guide every decision — a principle he carried forward when founding Blue Chip Medical Products.
