An Alternative to Group III Air Fluidization Therapy Mattresses (AFT)

Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ is specifically designed to address the complex clinical challenges associated with Stage III, Stage IV, and unstageable pressure injuries by creating an advanced therapeutic healing environment that goes beyond the limitations of conventional Group II and Group III support surfaces.

Unlike traditional alternating pressure mattresses that rely on preset therapy modes based primarily on patient weight, Pro-Daptive™ utilizes a customizable pressure management technology that dynamically adapts to the patient’s specific pressure redistribution needs. The patented SemsorCell™ technology allows for a 20:1 ratio for precision pressure control and offloading. THere are 20 individual SensorCells™ in the same area as 1 alternating pressure bladder.  This advanced approach helps reduce localized tissue loading, allows for complete offloading, minimizes shear and friction forces, and improves immersion and envelopment — all critical components in the treatment of severe pressure injuries.

For patients with Stage III, Stage IV, and unstageable wounds, maintaining optimal offloading and microclimate control is essential to support tissue perfusion, reduce further breakdown, and promote healing. Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ continuously responds to changes in patient positioning and pressure points, delivering customizable pressure control and targeted redistribution where it is needed most.

The system combines the therapeutic benefits of immersion and envelopment typically associated with Air Fluidized Therapy (AFT) surfaces while also providing active pressure redistribution and adaptive support not available in traditional AFT systems.
