PRESSURE CONTROL BEYOND ANY OTHER MATTRESS

Customizable Therapy for Improved Outcomes
More Therapeutic Options than Any Medical Mattress
Lower Acquisition. Less Maintenance, Saves Labor

Redefining Pressure Management. Advancing Patient Care

optimal healing environment customized for every patient

Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ delivers precision, customizable control with dynamic real-time maintenance of the pressures that directly influence surface interface pressure. This creates one of the closest and most responsive relationships to tissue interface pressure available in a medical mattress system today.

The interface pressure capable of impairing blood flow or causing cellular distortion can vary significantly, even among patients of the same weight. Because of this variability, advanced pressure control and individualized immersion therapy are critical to optimizing tissue protection and supporting better clinical outcomes.

Through advanced sensing technology and responsive surface adjustment, Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ provides:

  • Advanced immersion, floatation, and envelopment
  • Unmatched pressure redistribution, support, and Patient Comfort
  • Complete off-loading of the targeted high-risk area
  • Adaptation to individual patient anatomy and clinical condition

The result is a new era in customizable therapy designed to improve outcomes in the prevention and treatment of advanced pressure injuries in a broad spectrum of patients.

prodaptive immersion therapy

Immersion Therapy

creating a safer healing environment

Advanced immersion and pressure redistribution are critical components in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries, including Stage III, Stage IV, and unstageable wounds. By reducing concentrated pressure on high-risk areas such as the sacrum, hips, and heels, the Pro-Daptive system helps create a safer healing environment for patients with complex wounds or those at high risk of skin breakdown.

The immersion therapy mode of the Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ provides an alternative to Group III Air Fluidized Therapy (AFT) which is not available for home care, without the limitations associated with traditional air fluidization systems. Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ delivers advanced pressure injury management for home care use, supporting the prevention and treatment of complex wounds while bringing hospital-level therapy into the home setting.

prodaptive custom immersion mode

Custom Immersion Therapy

customized therapy leads to better outcomes

Customized immersion and pressure redistribution are critical to creating an optimized healing environment for patients with complex wounds.

With Pro-Daptive™, caregivers can tailor immersion therapy to the patient’s specific needs. Rather than relying on manufacturer presets based on averages, Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ seeks to control and maintain the pressures more closely related to tissue interface pressure.

Once set, Pro-Daptive™ dynamically adjusts in real time to maintain the desired therapy, even as the patient moves. This helps support consistent therapy, enhanced pressure redistribution, and improved patient comfort.

heel float

Heel Float & Cavity Creation

advanced off-loading

Heel Float: provides caregivers precise surface control to fully off-load pressures for the treatment of advanced heel wounds. Each SensorCell™ acts independently, allowing caregivers to fully suspend and completely off-load the heel while providing leg support. This advanced offloading helps protect fragile tissue, reduce pressure concentration, and support pressure control not offered in any other system.

Cavity Creation: Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ allows caregivers to create a custom cavity for the complete off-loading of existing wound in high-risk areas such as the coccyx, sacrum, buttocks and more. Pro-Daptive™ surface can create cavities in any of 12 zones.

dynamic offloading

Dynamic Off-loading

advanced offloading

DO-L Dynamic Offloading Continuous Hands-Free Off-Loading Without Sleep Disruption provides the vital rest patient’s need. DO-L offers tilt, sectional waves and massage. Dynamic Offloading is perfect in a home environment for overnight care giver assist. 1-hour cycles of gentle load repositioning and repeating cycles for up to 10 hours.

prodaptive mobility Mode

Mobility Mode

Easier repositioning and transfer for patient and caregiver

Mobility Mode creates a very firm support surface at 75 mmHg, making it easier for caregivers to assist with ingress, egress, transfers, repositioning, linen changes, and CPR. It reduces the effort required for repositioning by more than 30%. After repositioning, the exceptional envelopment of the SensorCells™ helps stabilize, cradle, and support the patient comfortably in place.

Using Mobility Mode together with Comfort Mode helps reduce both the time and effort needed for patient repositioning, while eliminating the need for wedges and pillows to maintain positioning.

Patented SensorCell™ Technology

20 times greater sensitivity, adaptability, and pressure control

The patented SensorCell™ technology, developed by LeviSense Medical™, delivers advanced clinical performance without the limitations associated with traditional pressure injury support surfaces.

Hundreds of dynamically adjusting SensorCells™ respond independently in real time. This creates a support surface that is more responsive and reactive to patient position and pressure. There are more than 20 independent SensorCells in the same area as a single alternating pressure air bladder. This enables precise pressure management and maintenance. The Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ offers greater sensitivity, adaptability and permits the type of surface customization required to treat advanced wounds.

Advanced Shear Protection

automatic fowler function

Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ Automatic 2-stage Fowler Function is engineered to support patient positioning while actively reducing the risk of shear, one of the most damage forces in pressure injury development. As the head of the bed is elevated, the mattress intelligently adapts to the body movement, helping to maintain proper alignment and minimize the sinking and downward sliding that can lead to tissue distortion beneath the skin.

By working in sync with Fowler positioning, Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ helps to reduce shear at key high-risk areas like the sacrum and coccyx. This controlled, responsive support helps protect vulnerable tissue during repositioning and extended periods of bed elevation, enhancing both patient safety, and comfort while helping to support better outcomes.

Adjustable Microclimate

optimize the microclimate that supports healing where it matters most

Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ adjustable low air loss therapy is is designed to actively manage the skin’s microclimate, the delicate balance of heat and moisture at the patient support surface. The mattress features a unique low air loss delivery system built into the cover. By continuously circulating a gentle flow of air, ProDaptive’s enhanced low air loss helps keep the skin cool and dry and protected from the excess moisture that can lead to maceration and tissue breakdown. The result is improved patient comfort, enhanced tissue tolerance and an optimized surface that supports healing where it matters most.

advanced low air loss therapy delivery system

Vyvex-III® Enhanced Low-Air Loss Cover: Low Air Loss therapy is incorporated into the mattress cover, transferring moisture away from the patient’s skin, and maintaining the optimal micro-climate. Vyvex-III® is a multi-stretch low shear, low friction nylon cover fabric that is washable, anti-microbial, fluid-resistant, and fire retardant. The cover is loose fitting and will conform to the patient allowing for greater immersion.

How Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ Compares to APM and AFT

advanced wound treatment without limitation

Group II Alternating Pressure Mattress (APM) systems have significant limitations in the treatment of advanced pressure injuries. While they provide alternating pressure therapy, they offer limited immersion and envelopment, which can reduce their effectiveness for complex wound care patients.

Group III Air Fluidized Therapy (AFT) beds provide superior immersion and envelopment, making them appropriate for advanced pressure injuries. However, they lack targeted pressure redistribution, precise offloading capabilities, and customizable pressure control. They also cannot dynamically adapt to the unique and changing needs of individual patients.

The therapeutic settings of both Group II Alternating Pressure Mattresses and Group III Air Fluidized Therapy systems are typically preset by the manufacturer, often based primarily on patient weight. Patient weight alone is not an accurate predictor of an individual patient’s pressure redistribution needs or skin tolerance.

Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ Floatation Mattress exceeds the capabilities of conventional Group II and Group III support surfaces by addressing the limitations of both technologies. Because patients with the same body weight can have vastly different skin tolerance and pressure management requirements, Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ gives clinicians greater control over pressure redistribution and the ability to customize therapy for each individual patient.

The result is a more adaptive, responsive, and patient-specific approach to advanced pressure injury treatment.

An Alternative to Air Fluidized Therapy (AFT)

AFT systems were first developed nearly 60 years ago, in 1968, and have long been associated with low satisfaction scores from both patients and bedside clinicians. AFT beds are expensive to acquire, costly to maintain, and labor intensive to operate. Until now, Air Fluidized therapy (AFT) found in Group III surface aka “Sand Bed”, was thought to be the most effective, therapeutic support surface for the treatment of advanced Stages III-IV & unstageable wounds, post-flap, post-graft and burn victims. However, AFT therapy has many drawbacks including the high cost of acquisition, the cost of maintenance, surface instability, patient dehydration, difficulty of patient repositioning and transfer, sterilization/cleanliness, limited availability for home care, and more. Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ not only provides similar immersion but far more therapeutic options, without the many limitations associated with air fluidization systems.

Pro-Daptive™ SensorCell™ offers what AFT does not:

  • Unprecedented spot surface pressure control
  • Customizable pressure control
  • Complete off-loading
  • Cavity creation
  • Enhanced low air loss to create a healthy microclimate without patient dehydration
  • Surface Stability
  • Ease Patient Transfers & Repositioning
  • Easy to Clean & Maintain
  • Available for home care
  • Available in 42" & 48" widths
  • Cost effective support surface for the prevention and treatment of advanced wounds
